Our team of veterinarians strive to do their best to ensure your pet's medical and surgical needs are met while remembering there is a very worried parent at home.
The veterinarians on our team are dedicated to continuing education. They attend conferences, seminars and skill training opportunities each year. The doctors have monthly rounds to discuss cases and ways to provide the best possible emergency care to their patients and service to their clients. Our doctors have many years of combined experience in emergency medicine as well as daytime private practice.
Scott Yonker, DVM
Dr. Scott Yonker graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Upon graduation, he was employed at Northwest Animal Hospital in Omaha before accepting a position at the Animal Emergency Clinic in October of 1988. Since then Dr. Yonker has seen over twenty thousand emergency cases making him Omaha's most experienced Emergency veterinary clinician. Dr Yonker is the Chief Of Staff of Veterinarians.
Dr. Starks received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 1997. Upon graduation, she was employed at Miller Park Animal Clinic in North Omaha before accepting a position at Ralston Veterinary Clinic specializing in Internal Medicine. She joined the Animal Emergency Clinic team in December of 2004. She is married, and has two children Elaine and Mark in addition to a Labrador Retriever named Colt.
Dr Bailey graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She then participated in a year long internship at Kansas State University. She joined us at the AEC in July of 2006. Terra and her daughter live in Millard with their two cats Tanger and Dexter.
Dr. Peter Buhr is a 2004 Kansas State University gradate. After gradation, he was employed in a small animal practice in Kearney. Dr Buhr has a special interest in surgery.
